The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications at the moment are open and will shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the following requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house by using a combined gross residence income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined family cash flow won't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and want not submit any evidence of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 nsfas status check for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the proper Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are studying or intend to study in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
